Ingredient guide
Reading a Hing Ingredient Label
The name hing does not tell you everything in the pack. For a formulated seasoning, check the current label and ask the supplier when the information is unclear.
Request current ingredient informationCheck the exact formulation
Different compounded products may use cereal flour, starches or gums. An ingredient mentioned in a general guide is not a declaration for a particular pack.
Read the ingredients, allergen statement and any relevant handling information on the product you intend to use. Keep that information with your purchasing records if you buy for a business.
Is hing gluten-free?
Some formulations may contain gluten-containing ingredients. A rice-based carrier or a natural product description alone does not establish the status of a finished product.
If gluten avoidance is important to your purchase, request the actual label and supporting information for the claim being made. This guide does not certify any particular Ferula Trading product as gluten-free.
Ask a precise product question
